Ante MCMLXXX means “before 1980”, since the plots selected
for this cuvee are old vines, all planted before that very
year (birth year of the winemaker, Charly Nicolle), between
1965 and 1975. That makes this Chablis particularly deep,
finely but definitely mineral.
