Tasting Notes
A superb deep golden yellow colour, with ribbons of small, lively, swirling bubbles. Initially, the nose is delicate and complex, with some sweet floral aromas (acacia, lime). Hints of honey and fruit (pineapple) then emerge, underpinned by powerful notes of gingerbread and orange peel. The impressive attack on the palate is straight and supple. The refined, silky texture gradually becomes deeper and more structured, with very pure and fresh vinosity. Subtle and harmonious aromas develop with scents of brioche and roasted almonds, enhanced by a very slight bitterness and accompanied by a saline minerality. The finish is long and voluptuous. Joyau de France 2008 is a great, intense wine, with remarkable aromas and flavours and wonderful fullness.
Food & wine pairing
