Pernand-Vergelesses « Sous Frétille » 1er Cru 2021

PERNAND-VERGELESSES is located between Aloxe-Corton and  Savigny-lès-Beaune. This Premier Cru is one of the best, closed to well-known Ile des Vergelesses.

Domaine GUYON holds 0.58 hectare (1.43 acres) of PERNAND-VERGELESSES 1ER CRU LES VERGELESSES.

SOIL AND GRAPE VARIETY

Clay and limestone

100% Pinot Noir

HARVEST AND VINIFICATION

Hand-harvested, the grapes are then carried in small boxes and sorted out upon arrival at the winery.

Long fermentation during 15 days in wooden open vats, with treading and temperature control.

AGEING

18 months in French oak barrels (33% new oak).

CHARACTER

Very nice purple robe with a nose of rapsberry and redcurrant.  Rich, elegant, well-balanced with very fine tannins.

This wine can be kept for 5 to 8 years.

SERVICE

To be served at 16-17°C with roasted meat, poultry and most cheeses.
